10 Minute Trainer

A couple of weeks ago my husband ordered The Beach Body 10 Minute Trainer. It consists of five 10 minute workouts-cardio, yoga, lower body, total body and abs. All of the workouts were created by Tony Horton.

Today, I have officially started my exercise regime. I started out with the 10 minute cardio set while my 10 month old took his mid-day nap. I have to say it's a good workout if you haven't exercised in a long time. It did me good despite the fact that I fractured my femur a few months ago and am still limping. What I mean to say it's not a complicated routine but it is effective. I worked up quite a sweat during those 10 minutes. The cardio segment basically consists of 10 back to back exercises with no break in between. The program recommends that you do at least 3 different segments per day but, I plan to keep it down to one until I get the hang of things.

I plan to do 2 days straight of cardio followed by a day of total body and so forth. It's better than not doing anything at all :-). I still haven't taken my measurements but will do so this week along with the before pictures. Still thinking if I should post them. hmmm

  2. I've been trying to stick to it as much as possible but just like you sometimes I find myself extremely tired. It's hard keeping up with a baby, taking care of the house, the cooking...it's crazy :-)

Congratulations on your baby! Mine is 11 months old...he's electric :-)

Hope you get around to writing the post :-) I'd love to read it

  4. Ten minutes a day can make a huge difference! It's surprising how many people are "too busy" for just ten minutes of exercise (AKA me). I need to get my butt in gear! ha ha.
